I came to an epiphany today: Hope Jesus is not Naegi, Hinata, Komaeda, or even Kamukura.
The true identity of Hope Jesus is Akamatsu Kaede.
She encouraged teamwork, hope, and perseverance – all the ideals of Hope Jesus. Then, she was unfairly executed by the Despair Empire that is TDR, leaving her followers to fumble around for the rest of the game while they interpreted, misinterpreted, and reinterpreted her beliefs.
She died for our despair.
